Boating education is an important part of responsible boating. Taking a course could help you prevent an accident, injury, or even worse. The Boat Idaho class can teach you about hazards to look for, and what to do in an emergency situation, which could save your life and the lives of your loved ones.
All boaters, regardless of experience, are encouraged to take a boating safety class to learn about Idaho boating laws and pick up some boating safety tips. Many families take the course together so both kids and adults can safely operate their boat.
The Boat Idaho classes are held in a classroom setting with an experienced instructor. This course is disigned to be an introductory course to meet the boater education need of recreational boaters. You will learn general information about boats and maintenance, information to make your boating experience safer, tips on how to be a more courteous boat operator, and learn about laws and regulation associated with owning and operating a boat.

This course is approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and is recognized by the U.S.. Coast Guard.
Will receive a boater education card upon successful completion of the course.
Some insurance companies even offer a discount to those boat owners that successfully complete the “Boat Idaho” boat safety course. Check with your insurance agent to see if you are eligible.
